And she’s back! The holidays are over and it’s back to the daily
grind. I’m actually not a fan of “daily grind” because it gives the impression that life sucks but you just have to “grind” through the week until Friday. You shouldn’t be living a life that makes you miserable. It’s the beginning of a new year (chapter) if you don’t like something, work towards changing it.
Enough ranting. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’m back in London. Although the return trip was relaxing, I woke up feeling exhausted and jetlagged… despite being in the same timezone as my previous destination. My 7 am wakeup time turned into 9 am and I’ve been functioning much slower than planned.
I’ve decided to get as much as I possibly can done today. I have an oral exam on Thursday that I need to prep for, as well as a MILLION business emails and plans to prepare. I can’t expect to get it all done the day after coming home from vacation. This month, my mission is to learn to not be so hard on myself. I always have the most impossible to do lists on a daily basis and get angry with myself if I don’t accomplish everything.
I need to learn to compartmentalize slowly so I don’t burn out. Just like in the photos above, I need to take some time for myself each day to enjoy a little something; coffee, a book, anything really. I encourage you guys to do the same. In the meantime… PLEASE wish me luck and pray for me to get through this exam season in one piece.
