Black Bloggers Brunch Recap

This past Sunday, I hosted Toronto’s very first Black Blogger’s Brunch. To my surprise the morning of, the event was sold out. I couldn’t be more excited, but I was also very nervous (I’m a shy person by nature and the idea of addressing a crowd of 30 freaked me out). I hosted the brunch at Lil Baci, along with my sponsor Cloré Beauty.

To say I’m still grinning from ear to ear after the success of the Black Blogger’s Bruch is such an understatement. I have no one to thank for the amazing turnout but God. Each person who attended learned something new and met someone new. We were all surprised at the amount of amazing black bloggers Toronto has to offer. The girls were excited to delve into different topics that affect black creators in Canada. I was so happy that everyone felt comfortable enough to share a little tidbit of their experience with the room.

We were treated with delicious food, and pampered with hand massages by the ladies of Up Beauty. Overall, the event was amazing. I couldn’t have hoped for anything more. It gave me the perfect platform to announce the Black Bloggers of Canada group, a passion project I’ve been working on for a few months now.

What was initially supposed to be a blogger guide is now a resource library and black blogger agency for Canadian bloggers. I will be using my marketing and PR experience to curate a library of content that will help black bloggers enhance every aspect of their blogs. Along with it, every person will have the opportunity to participate in blogger campaigns with great companies who understand the value of working with black influencers.

In addition, I will also be offering technology services for those who want to improve their blogs but lack the tech expertise, as well as paid courses, and 1:1 consultations. The community will be hosted on thefancynancy.me, and we’ll have a private forum on Facebook to answer each other’s questions and build a strong community. I look forward to this new venture, and cheers to more fabulous events!

Finally, thank you to Cloré Beauty for being the best sponsor we could have asked for. Their attendance at the event helped reinforce the direction Black Bloggers of Canada is moving towards. Another big thank you to our gift bag sponsors who provided items for our ladies to enjoy.
