Fashion | Dress Up

Sun’s out, legs out! I couldn’t be more excited for warm spring weather. As a dress obsessed individual, winter is always tough for me as it limits my ability to go everywhere in my favourite garment. If I lived somewhere like LA, I’d be in a dress every single day (I only wear pants because I have to). They’re so feminine, sexy and just make me feel good. The right dress can easily be worn multiple times, all it takes is the right accessories. I have my staple solid coloured dresses that I’ll wear on multiple occasions throughout the year, but I always wear them differently (casual, glammed up, girly…). It’s important to have those staple and versatile pieces in one’s wardrobe. I recommend an LBD and a LWD. Once you own a few of each, you can then venture into different colours and prints, especially for spring and summer months.

For the last couple of years, I’ve been purchasing 70% of my dresses from Mendocino and M for Mendocino. Those two stores are AMAZING! They always have a great selection and even better sales. Luckily for me, I live 5 minutes away from M for Mendocino at Yonge Eglinton Centre I get the fortune (a misfortune for my bank account) to visit the store almost everyday on my way home from work. I very seldom leave the store without buying something – luckily for me, I always find the best deals. Below are two dresses I fell in love with the moment I saw them at M boutique (so much that I have the black one in red also). I’m very much into lace and illusion mesh lately and I thought these two dresses were the perfect additions to my wardrobe. They’re perfect for date night, a night out on the town with girlfriends, and the blue one also works for Sunday brunch.
