Tips | Pamper Yourself

Valentine’s day is usually associated with relationships; relationships with your friends, significant others, family and more. People often forget the most important relationship, the one with yourself. It’s just as important to be your own valentine than to be someone else’s. It took me a while to get where I am with regards to self love. I learned to love all my flaws, my strengths, my fears, and everything else. I’m not afraid to pamper myself when need be, and valentine’s day is definitely the season to splurge. Today I’m sharing 3 of my favourite things that always make me feel good and put a smile on my face. Those are things I do for myself, they’re little and probably meaningless to some, but for me they mean happiness. Every woman deserves and needs to have a few things in life just for herself. I hope that this post inspires you to love and pamper yourselves a little more everyday!

It’s often hard for me to keep up with my manicures because of my busy schedule, and because I’m always cooking, the lifespan of my freshly manicured nails is never long. Regardless of those set backs, I always make the time to sit in my living room and paint my nails at least once a week. It’s something I do while watching TV and enjoying a cup of tea. I love and collect nail polishes, Essie and Sally Hansen being my two favourite brands. I’m even admiring my drying nude manicure as I’m writing this blog post.

It took me a while to become an accessories girl but when I did, I immediately fell in love with delicate gold pieces. They’re so timeless, feminine, and perfectly fit my aesthetic. I always make sure to wear one of my favourite pieces when heading out. It makes me feel feminine and chic. The one above is from my mother (stolen, not given… love you mom!). It’s been a go to piece in my collection for a few years now, and I never get tired of it. There’s something about wearing the right accessories that make you feel good and complete. Gold dainty pieces do that for me.
