One of my favourite things to do while in Thailand was visiting Srimantra Spa for a few hours of bliss. In the 3.5 weeks I was there, I managed to visit the spa and get pampered on 5 different occasions. Everything is much more affordable in Thailand, so I took the opportunity to get taken care of every chance I got. I first visited Srimantra Spa on my first day in Chiang Mai, it was a welcome to Thailand gift from my wonderful clients. I enjoyed a blissful hour-long head, neck and shoulder massage. It was so enjoyable that I fell asleep halfway through and didn’t seem to mind needing a second nap when I got home.
I was very impressed by the customer service. Upon arrival, guests are treated to tea and snacks (crisps or fruit). Once you choose your spa treatment, they usher you to the side where an attendant proceeds to wash your feet in rose water (I felt super luxurious already). Afterwards, guests are lead to their respective suites for the treatment of their choice. I tried multiple treatments at Srimantra Spa and was pleased with every single one. My favourite one however has to be the milk bath, followed by a peppermint hot oil massage. Those two hours were probably the most blissful two hours of my entire life. For 45 minutes, I was immersed in a milk bath covered with rose petals – I even had snacks by my side in case I got hungry. The bath was so luxurious and left me feeling silky smooth, relaxed and ready to get massaged. The hot oil therapy was so good that I fell asleep 10 minutes in and only woke up to turn over. This kind of treatment would have cost an arm and a leg in Toronto, so I’m happy to have been able to enjoy while I could. I definitely recommend Srimantra Spa to anyone reading this blog. The staff is very friendly, the massages are simply amazing, you won’t be disappointed.
